Product Reviews

Set up the product reviews module to collect, display, and manage customer reviews on your Shopify store.

Overview

The Product Reviews module adds review collection and display to your product pages. Reviews include star ratings, text content, and optional photo uploads.

Setup

  1. Enable the Product Reviews module from the Modules tab
  2. The review widget automatically appears on your product pages
  3. No theme editing required

Collecting Reviews

Automatic Review Requests

After a customer receives their order, Appy Days can automatically send a review request email.

  1. Go to Product Reviews > Settings > Review Requests
  2. Enable automatic requests
  3. Set the delay (we recommend 7 to 14 days after delivery)
  4. Customize the email template

Manual Collection

You can also send review requests manually:

  1. Go to Product Reviews > Requests
  2. Select orders to request reviews for
  3. Click Send Requests

Customizing the Widget

Display Options

  • Layout: Grid or list view
  • Sort order: Newest first, highest rated, or most helpful
  • Reviews per page: 5, 10, or 25
  • Show/hide elements: Photos, verified badge, date, helpful votes

Styling

The widget inherits your theme's fonts and colors by default. Override any of these in Product Reviews > Settings > Appearance.

Importing Reviews

To import reviews from another platform:

  1. Go to Product Reviews > Import
  2. Select your source (Judge.me, Loox, Stamped, Vitals, or CSV)
  3. Upload your export file or connect directly
  4. Map fields and confirm the import

Imported reviews retain their original dates and ratings.

Structured Data

The module automatically adds JSON-LD structured data for product reviews, which enables star ratings in Google search results. No additional configuration is needed.
